*Aftercare Do’s & Don’ts

“Shampoo for the hair you have, and condition for the hair you need.”

Wash
It’s important that your shampoo is super moisturizing to maintain the quality of your natural hair and your install. With shampooing “less is more” so once or twice a week is lots. Thoroughly detangle all hair before washing. If you brush your hair after showering always use a wet brush and only in the direction of the cuticle (root to tip).

Moisturize
Hair extensions don’t benefit from your natural oils so we need a good quality mask or conditioner to make sure they stay as soft and tangle-free as possible. Apply conditioner and leave on for five min before rinsing thoroughly for maximum benefit and minimum buildup.

Style
When you towel dry your hair squeeze, don’t rub. The hair must be 100% dry before any hot tool is used. Always use a heat protectant when using a hot tool, and keep the hot tool away from the roots of the install. Styling products should be minimal and evenly applied to avoid buildup and help your extensions last longer.

Sleep
Always sleep with extensions in a loose braid and/or in a silk lined cap to avoid tangles and frizz.

I recommend Redken’s All Soft shampoo, conditioner and heavy cream for all my hair extension clients’ aftercare. I also recommend Redken’s Hot Sets 22 for curl styling, and Moroccan Oil’s Perfect Defense for flat iron styling.

Yes, we are pleased to offer a return policy on unopened hair extensions within thirty (30) days of you receiving your order. We find that we have very low return rates and we are proud of the high quality hair extensions that we offer. However, we understand that there may be a case in which you need to return or exchange your order and we are more than happy to accommodate returns and exchanges on hair extensions that have not been opened, worn or tampered with. All shipping costs for returns and exchanges are non-refundable.
